October is one of my favorite months of the year and here in the Denver area there are so many amazing activities to do with kids. After years of attending Halloween events I’ve pulled together 4 of our favorites in the Denver area. Read on to find out what local moms can’t miss this 2019 Halloween season:
1. Boo at the Zoo | Denver Zoo - click HERE for tickets
The Denver Zoo hosts a festive trick or treat costume event every year that offers fun for the whole family! Because there are several dates offered the crowds tend to spread out and we haven’t experienced unbearable crowds. This event offers candy and activity stops throughout the Denver Zoo. Dress in your favorite costumes and explore the zoo while enjoying the animal inspired Halloween decorations and plentiful candy stops. The photo pavillion they added the past few years outside the giraffe house is a great place to snag a festive fall photo. Overall it’s a fun festive event that will get the entire family into the Halloween spirit!
Cost: Cost of admission into the Denver Zoo -free with Zoo Membership.
Date: Oct 19th & 20th, and Oct 26th & 27th | 9am-4pm.
2. Pumpkin Nights | Adams County Fairgrounds - click HERE for tickets
This is a newer event to the Denver area, one I personally cannot wait to attend! Growing up in the area this wasn’t an event I was familiar with; however last year I had loads of local moms coming to me with raving reviews of this event. I was lucky enough to be added to their media list for 2019 and have enjoyed sneak peak pictures of this years event and a discount code for tickets I’m sharing below. Enjoy amazing jack-o-lantern art including a jack-o-lantern tunnel, and glow in the dark pumpkin art just to mention a few. If you are as excited to see this event as I am use code MOMMONSTER25 for 25% OFF general admission for the 2019 season; and follow our stories on Instragram (@mom.monster.blog) October 18th to see this years event first hand.
Cost: Adult $20 • Child $16 • Kids under 3 free • Weekday night-owl specials
Date: Oct 17th-Nov 3rd | 5:30-10:30pm
3. Spooky Streets | Streets of Southglenn-FREE
This event is hosted by The Streets of Southglenn, an outdoor strip mall here in Centennial, CO. It is not only FREE to the public but also one of the funnest Halloween events I’ve been to in the area. The streets are shut down and filled with activity booths like caricatures, and balloon animals just to name a few. The shops and restaurants lining the central square offer candy and other treats-all free! Music fills the air and a live radio DJ hosts a spooky night of costume contests and family fun. For a free event I was seriously impressed with the activities offered. This event can get busy later in the night so if you want to get in as many free goodies as possible I’d suggest getting there as early as you can.
Date: Oct 25th | 4:30pm-7:30pm.
4. BOOnion Station Trick or Treat Parade | Union Station-FREE.
This event is one of those classic Denver Halloween events. I remember this event being around growing up here. The costume parade is such a fun chance for your kids to show off their costumes, and gets lots of candy. Participate in family costume contests or enjoy activities like face painting and balloon animals, all free! Follow our stories on Instagram (@mom.monster.blog) as we enjoy the event this year on October 24th. I can’t wait to enjoy this traditional Denver Halloween event.
Date: Oct 24th | 5pm-8pm.
Any of these events will be a hit for the whole family this Halloween season! I hope you enjoy these events as much as we do. If YOU know of an amazing Halloween event we need to include on our list next year reach out and let us know!
